As a Design System Specialist
- Design, document, and maintain UI components within EGO’s and clients’ Design Systems.
- Manage system versioning using branches in Figma or other versioning tools.
- Define and maintain naming conventions for components, styles, and tokens.
- Manage and document design tokens (color, typography, spacing, etc.) and collaborate with devs for implementation.
- Contribute to governance: propose when to add, adjust, or deprecate components.
- Ensure components comply with accessibility, consistency, and performance standards.
- Support teams in the correct adoption and usage of the Design System as the single source of truth.
- Collaborate with developers to align Figma libraries with coded implementations.
- Optimize workflows in Figma (auto-layout, variants, properties, shared libraries).
- Actively participate in design reviews, ensuring visual quality and proper implementation of components.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital interface design (UI).
- Proven experience working with Design Systems (Figma, Storybook, or similar tools).
- Proficiency in handling branches/versioning in Figma.
- Strong knowledge of visual design principles, typography, grids, color, and accessibility (WCAG 2.x).
- Ability to work within agile, multidisciplinary squads.
- Excellent communication skills to present and defend design proposals.
Nice to have
- Experience in large-scale projects with focus on scalability and governance.
- Familiarity with component libraries and documentation tools (Zeroheight, Frontify, Notion).
- Curiosity for new methodologies and trends in UI design.
